Palm Springs, CA - The National Ski Area Association (NSAA) has named Utah's four Salt Lake County ski resorts -- Alta, Brighton, Snowbird and Solitude -- the joint recipients of its 2013 Golden Eagle Award for medium size ski areas (2000,000 to 500,000 visits), under the umbrella of the Cottonwood Canyons Foundation (CCF). Established in 1993, the Golden Eagle Awards are the highest industry honors bestowed on resorts for environmental performance.

Park City, UT - Park City Mountain Resort, in conjunction with the Park City Ski Team and U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association, will proudly welcome Park City native, U.S. Ski Team alpine racer and lifetime Park City Mountain Resort skier Ted Ligety home from an historic World Cup season on April 6. The homecoming, held in the resort plaza, will be free and the public is encouraged to attend.

Park City, UT - The Park City Council reviewed the materials for Phase I of the Historic Park City Improvement Plan last Thursday, setting in motion a 10-year plan to upgrade the infrastructure of the Utah ski resort town’s central commercial thoroughfare. The total improvement plan will invest about $15 million in the area over the next 10 years.

Huntsville, UT - Snowbasin Adaptive Sports Education Foundation has announced its 2013 On-Snow Demo Day and Charity Raffle, set for Saturday, March 16 at Snowbasin Resort in Huntsville. Skis from 11 major manufacturers and snowboards from Burton will be available to try between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. in exchange for a $20 donation to the foundation.

Snowbird, UT - For the first time since Mineral Basin opened in 2000, Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort in Utah is offering a guided, backcountry cat skiing experience, called Snowcat Skiing for Nature because proceeds benefit the Cottonwood Canyons Foundation.
